Mein lieber Thibolt[a]<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vor allen andern danke ich Ihnen f\u00fcr ihre Freundschaft, die Sie in Hinsicht der gewissen Belesitsischen Portion[b]<\/a> bis jetzt f\u00fcr mich hatten, und retournire dieselbe – – umsomehr, wenn es nicht ganz gegen alle menschliche Vernunft sein sollte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auch habe ich dieswegen vor einigen Tagen den Herren von Pap[c]<\/a> einen Brief schreiben m\u00fcssen, den mir mein Vater dictirte, und wo hundert Bedenklichkeiten vorkommen. \u2013 Ich verlasse mich denn nun ganz auf Sie, nein lieber guter Freund in dieser Geschichte. Schliessen Sie es oder nicht, ich werde beruhigt sein, den im letzten Falle w\u00fcrde mich \u00fcber dem, vieleicht auf immer verlorenen Verlust und M\u00f6glichkeit aus meinen Herzen diesen Wurm zu reissen, zu tr\u00f6sten suchen. Auf jeden Fall glaube ich aber, sollte kein Opfer beinahe f\u00fcr mich und besonders in der Laage in der ich bin, zu gross sein, um dieser unangenehmen Mitbesitzung ein Ende zu machen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auf reinen Gewinn, auf dem m\u00fcssen wir den freilich keine Rechnung machen. \u2013 Liebenberg wird Ihnen \u00fcbrigens noch mehr dar\u00fcber sprechen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[a]<\/a> Ferenc Tibolth (1763\u20131833) was Ferenc Sz\u00e9ch\u00e9nyi\u2019s livestock manager and comptroller at the Cenk estate centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[b]<\/a> The estates of the Belesits family were certainly wedged into Sz\u00e9chenyi\u2019s estate, so Tibolth was commissioned to buy them. We know nothing more about the purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[c]<\/a> On 24 June 1815, Ferenc Pap informed Ferenc Sz\u00e9ch\u00e9nyi that Count Istv\u00e1n had written to him about the Belesits family estate, and he enclosed a copy of the letter to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He thanks him for his friendship in connection with the Belesits portion, and will try to return the favour. He wrote to Mr Pap a few days ago on the matter, but believes that there are several things to consider in this matter. He leaves it to Tibolth to decide whether or not to conclude the contract. In any case, he believes that this intolerable co-ownership in his situation must come to an end.
