For his services he was made a baron in 1830.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#_ednref2\">[b]<\/a> The secretary and Sz\u00e9chenyi got into an argument at the ball of Countess Lieven. Sz\u00e9chenyi felt he was not worthy of a lecture, so he challenged the diplomat to a duel.
