Der Schimmel Hengst kam gestern in dem besten Wohlseyn hier an, und ich kann Dir nicht hinl\u00e4nglich f\u00fcr die G\u00fcte danken, da\u00df Du so einen geschickten und wackeren Mann zu dem Begleiter des Bajard erw\u00e4hltest. ~<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mit den 4 Pferden, im Wagen,<a href=\"#_edn2\">[b]<\/a> bin ich ausnehmend zufrieden, obschon ich glaube, da\u00df der Rapp d\u00e4mpfig ist. Ich sollte denken, da\u00df er deshalb seinen Dienst einige Zeit dennoch leisten wird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ich habe mir alle M\u00fche gegeben, deinen Kutscher in meine Dienste zu engagiren, da die Pferde, die ich von Dir gekauft<a href=\"#_ftn1\">[1]<\/a> eigentlich, ohne seiner Leitung nicht viel taugen. Er war nicht zu bewegen: und nun mu\u00df ich sie selber kutschiren; was ihnen wahrscheinlicherweise nicht sehr zutr\u00e4glich seyn wird. \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wie w\u00e4re es, wenn ich Dir auch den Kutscher abhandelte, da Du ihn doch nicht brauchst, wenn wir nach England gehen?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Nachrichten<a href=\"#_edn3\">[c]<\/a> die ich gefunden<sup>1<\/sup>, geben Hoffnung auf langen Frieden, <em>und wir k\u00f6nnen reisen<\/em>.<a href=\"#_ftn2\">[2]<\/a> Simonyi<a href=\"#_edn4\">[d]<\/a> ist nach Wien und wird alle Tage erwartet. Auf den Markt werde ich, so ziemlich, meine Zukunft auf ein Jahr voraus bestimmen k\u00f6nnen; komme also ganz gewi\u00df und erhalte mein Andenken inde\u00df\u2018 <em>warm<\/em>.<sup>2<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\">Sz\u00e9ch\u00e9nyi<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ich werde schon den 11<sup>ten<\/sup> in Debretzin seyn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a> Missing word: habe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#_ftnref2\">[2]<\/a> Sz\u00e9chenyi\u2019s underlining with straight line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#_ednref1\">[a]<\/a> He bought it from Mikl\u00f3s Wessel\u00e9nyi at the end of 1821, when he received permission to travel to England, and sold it to Count Gy\u00f6rgy K\u00e1rolyi, a lieutenant in Sz\u00e9chenyi\u2019s regiment (Hesse-Homburg Hussar Regiment). (Research by Gyula Viszota)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#_ednref2\">[b]<\/a> Elek Nagy, Wessel\u00e9nyi\u2019s livestock manager, wrote in his memorial of Sz\u00e9chenyi\u2019s meeting with Wessel\u00e9nyi (Pesti Napl\u00f3 1860), \u201cBaron Mikl\u00f3s Wessel\u00e9nyi once said the following to a small group of people. \u2018The new turn of my life is due to my 4 horses\u2019. We asked him to explain this, and he said, \u2018From Zsib\u00f3 I drove with my 4 horses one day to Debrecen (a journey of about two days), I stayed at the Bika [Bull Inn] and the news spread in the evening that I left Zsib\u00f3 this morning; it spread by word of mouth that Mikl\u00f3s Wessel\u00e9nyi had left Zsib\u00f3 in Transylvania and arrived in Debrecen on the same day. This noisy news reached Count Istv\u00e1n Sz\u00e9ch\u00e9nyi too, who was staying there, so through the intercession or intergallop of my 4 horses, we immediately met at the inn, and not only did we become friends, but we also conceived a plan to make a tour of Europe together\u201d. (Research by Gyula Viszota)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#_ednref3\">[c]<\/a> Austria invaded Naples and Piedmont after the Congress of Laibach and suppressed the revolution.
