He was a great lover of the theatre, and from 1807 he supported the German theatre in Vienna and later became director of the court theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#_ednref6\">[f]<\/a> Prince Antal P\u00e1l Esterh\u00e1zy (1786\u20131866) diplomat, ambassador to London, later minister besides the king.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#_ednref7\">[g]<\/a> Count J\u00e1nos Batthy\u00e1ny Baptist (1784\u20131865) was a lieutenant colonel in the 5th Hussars Regiment, with whom Sz\u00e9chenyi fought against the Neapolitans in 1815. They were also related because Batthy\u00e1ny\u2019s wife, Countess M\u00e1ria Esterh\u00e1zy (1791\u20131830), was Sz\u00e9chenyi\u2019s cousin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#_ednref8\">[h]<\/a> The letter was written in 1823.
