In Liebenberg’s letter, they are pleased to read that their parents are well. Their stay in Pápa is boring. Much is said about peace and the alliance with the Russians. From Liebenberg’s letter they learn that their brother Lajos’s division is stationed less than half an hour from Pápa, and that if a hunt is organized, he will surely turn up. They are in good health and their horses are healthy, too. Best regards to all members of the family and also to Liebenberg.

Euer Gnaden. Liebster Vater!
Eben heute bekamen wir den Brief den uns unser Freund Liebenberg schrieb,[a] aus welchem wir das Wohlseyn unsern Besten Eltern mit inniger Freude ersahen. Gott möge Ihre Gesundheit stets erhallten, und Sie mit einen Langen und zufriedenen Leben beschenken. Euer Gnaden ist es schon hoffentlich bewust, daß wir mit der Aufnehmung der hießigen Stadt und der um liegenden Gegend beschäftiget sind, unserr Arbeit ist wirklich recht schwär und auch uninteressant: ich hoffe das baldige End.[1] Neuigkeiten erfährt man hier in Papa gar keine, doch spricht fast wie gewiß von den Frieden, und von der Alliance mit die Russen.[b] Wie ich aus den Brief von Liebenberg ersehen kann so werden wir bald die Freude haben Unsern Lieben Louis wieder zu ersehen: das Oedenburger Division[c] ist nur eine ½ Stunde von Papa und es ist dort eine charmante Jagd, und so bin ich gewiß meinen Lieben Louis öfters sehen zu können. Unserr Gesundheit ist recht gut, und unserr Pferde befinden sich auch Wohl. Izt[2] bitte ich um dem Segen, und küsse meiner Besten Mutter Hände tausendmahl. [c] Lajos Széchényi was one of the captains of the independent cavalry divisions of Sopron. According to the next letter, he was stationed at Pápóc, on the right bank of the Rába, on the established border line. The border line was from Holics to Bratislava, to the border, and then it was the line of the Danube to Győr.
