He asks Liebenberg to withdraw some money for a short time. He asks Liebenberg if he could go to Vienna before the New Year. He lives very frugally. The grey stallion and the fox should be given to Sahländer.

Lieber Liebenberg, den 6ten wollte ich nach Wien: der alte Karl Esterhazy[b] wurde krank, jetzt weiß ich nicht wen; lange werde ich aber nicht ausbleiben.
Wegen Spiegel[c] noch nichts[d] – Ich habe aber noch immer Hoffnung. Nehmen Sie so wenig Geld auf, als nur immer möglich – und auf kurze Zeit; denn Am Ende[1] bekomme ich doch gewiß Geld. – Könnten Sie nicht vor dem Neuen Jahr nach Wien kommen, ohne Etwas zu versäumen?
