After a few days, he crosses the border without having the chance to say goodbye to his friend. He assures him that all that brought them together is still alive inside him. After the coronation, he will travel to the Pyrenees and will probably return to Cenk in August. He asks him to visit him if he can.

Mein vielgeliebter Freund, in einigen Tagen bin ich über die Gränze,[a] – und kann, obschon ich dieß Land nur auf kurze Zeit verlasse — ohne einem Wort des Abschiedes von Dir[1] unmöglich scheiden.
Sey versichert, daß ich deiner Werth bleiben werde! – In meiner Brust lebt noch alles das was uns gegeneinander so mächtig gezogen hat — Indessen ist der Boden dürre und trocken; solche Blumen gedeihen schwer — Ob sie wohl je zu Früchte reifen werden?
Ich werde, ist die Krönung zu Ende eine kleine Reise in die Pyrenêen machen[b] und im August wahrscheinlicher Weise in Zinkendorf seyn –[c] Ist‘s möglich so komme mich besuchen

[a] Széchenyi traveled to France as an extraordinary envoy and chamberlain to Prince Pál Esterházy (1786–1866) for the coronation of King Charles X (1757–1836) of France (1824–1830). The coronation took place in Reims on May 28, 1825.
