[a] Count Ferdinánd Zichy (1783–1869), general, brother-in-law of Széchenyi.
[b] Ferenc Tibolth (1763–1833) was Ferenc Széchényi’s livestock manager and comptroller at the Cenk estate centre. The letter is unknown.
[c] In reply to Széchenyi’s unknown letter of 22 September, Ferdinánd Zichy stated his request concerning his debt that he wrote about in the letter of 3 October. Following Széchenyi’s action, Ferdinand Zichy acknowledged in his letter of 2 November that he had received another letter from Széchenyi (which remains unknown) concerning the settlement of his debts.
